We understand that running a salon isn’t straightforward. Customers are not always reliable, and sometimes appointments need to be changed. This is why Treatwell Connect provides the tools to manage bookings – to cancel and reschedule, or mark a customer as a no-show.
However, we’ve noticed that there are a small number of partners who are using these tools to avoid paying Treatwell commission. For example by:
- Marking a customer as a no-show when they did attend the appointment
- Cancelling a Treatwell booking, and re-booking the customer directly
- Requesting that the customer cancel their booking, and then re-booking them directly
This isn’t in the spirit of our partnership – it gives the customers a terrible booking experience, it harms Treatwell, and it’s unfair to the partners who do play by the rules.
Treatwell will be unable to continue their partnership with salons who continue this behaviour.
