Maintaining your client list makes sure that your clients continue to receive their appointment reminders, invitations to review and rebook, and most importantly that they only receive marketing content that they have consented to. The upkeep in Connect couldn’t be easier.

To update a clients contact details:
- Go to “clients” in Connect
- Find the person who you’re making the changes for, and click on their name
- In the box that appears, click “Edit Details” up at the top
- In their client card, you’re able to edit each person’s name, email address and phone number, as well as any additional information you’ve made a note of
- Don’t forget to save your changes.
To update a clients marketing preferences
Clients can decide to opt-in and out of your marketing emails as they choose. As a data processor, it’s important that you make these changes to remain GDPR compliant. To opt a client in or out of receiving marketing emails:
- Follow the instructions above to find the persons client card
- Then, under “Marketing Communications” you’re able to opt them in or out using the tick box
- Click “Save” when you’re done.
If you use any other software or means for storing customer data or sending marketing communications to your customers, it is absolutely essential that you ensure their preferences are updated in those places too, to avoid customers being sent emails/SMS’s from your other systems after they have opted out.
To delete a client and their booking record:
- Go to “clients” in Connect
- Find the person who you’re making the changes for, and click on their name
- In the box that appears, click the three dots that appear in the bottom left corner
- Click “Delete”
The client will then be removed from Connect, as well as their booking history. If this person books through Treatwell again, they’ll be marked as a new customer and you’ll pay the first time customer commission rate, so make sure to only delete their record if you’re sure.
