There is great value in keeping your clients up to date, whether it’s confirming their booking details or letting them know about any important changes you’ve had to make.
These emails make sure they have everything they need to prepare for and turn up for their appointment and make them feel like you value their time.
Thanks to Automated messaging, you can keep your clients up to date without having to interrupt your day to write and send these emails yourself.
What will your clients receive?
When you enable this feature in Connect, your clients will get:
- Appointment confirmations when they book
- Emails about any important changes to their bookings (e.g. rescheduling and cancellations)
Appointment confirmation emails
15 minutes after an appointment is added to Connect, your client will get a booking confirmation email with appointment details, so they have it all in one place.
Why 15 minutes? This gives you time to make tweaks to the appointment if you need to before confirmation is sent (like changing the stylist or amending the time slightly).
Anyone who books you through Treatwell, your Book Now buttons or your booking widget already receives these emails.
Emails about booking changes and cancellations
Connect will also notify clients about any changes you’ve made to their bookings (like if you’ve had to reschedule or cancel).
Notifying your clients about these changes as soon as they happen helps create a professional salon experience, and make them feel like their time is valued.
Are these emails GDPR compliant?
These emails are transactional (they're sent as part of the booking), so GDPR rules don't apply here. This means you don't need to worry – you won’t need to ask for your clients’ marketing consent to send them.
Make sure these emails are sent automatically by enabling this feature in the Automated messaging tab in Connect.
