Send your clients the best gift idea for Mother’s Day
This time around Connect’s CRM marketing tool places Mother’s Day at the forefront of its seasonal focus. With our brand new email campaign, you can encourage clients to plan ahead for Mother’s Day by booking a special treatment as a surprise gift.
You never know, this could be the perfect opportunity to get clients to rebook and make their day all in one go. Head to Connect and take a look now.
Inviting customers to rebook with SMS
It’s so easy to lose track of time, especially when it comes to booking follow-up treatments - it’s a hectic world we live in. That’s why we had a long hard think about the best way to remind customers about booking their next appointments.
Our “invites to rebook” tool can now also be sent via SMS, meaning that customers are prompted to rebook after their last appointment directly on their phones (as phone numbers will be used if an email address isn’t provided).
These are scheduled based on clients’ past bookings, and calculated based on industry-standard intervals between certain types of treatment. Of course, customers can always opt out if they want to, but who doesn’t need a reminder when it's time to retouch roots? We know we do.
Cancelling marketplace appointments
Plans aren’t set in stone, and sometimes you or your customer can’t make an appointment. While it’s always better to try and reschedule, we appreciate that sometimes this just isn’t possible.
That’s why we’ve been updating the way cancellations work on Connect. We know we confused a few of you by introducing some extra steps when it came to cancelling manually-entered appointments in your calendar, and we’re very sorry about that. It was for a good cause, we promise.
This is because very soon you’ll be able to cancel appointments yourself, without having to contact us first (finally!). In the very near future, when you request a cancellation, you’ll be asked who initiated this (you or your customer) and from then on you’ll be able to cancel and update your calendar all in one simple, streamlined process. Hurrah!
POS - Point of Sale made simple
A small update with a big impact: we’ve changed the name ‘POS quicklist’ to ‘Sales’ on Connect, just because we like to simplify simple matters.
If you don’t yet have POS, you can learn all about the benefits our partners enjoy here, such as having full records of your payment processing in one place, or easier daily cash transactions. With this landing page, you’ll be able to request a demo, or ask to speak to our team of experts who can tell you more.
Here’s to the future: push notifications
If you have the Connect App installed and push notifications enabled, we’ve got news for you. We’ll no longer send you the same, duplicate message via SMS for your confirmations and other changes made to your salon’s calendar.
An overview of your history (and updates) are all stored under the bell icon next to your settings in Connect. This means you never have to lose track of what’s happening in your salon. Here’s to a slicker future without SMS…

Checking out your individual products on the App
Up until now, you had to assign services or vouchers to a product in order to check it out, which meant you couldn’t check out a hair/beauty product by itself. This was frustrating, we know, but no longer. We’re proud to announce that you can now check out any standalone product from your salon, so your product list is always up to date and accurate across Connect.
Improving the client acquisition report
We’ve made a few improvements to your acquisition report, and you’ll now be able to see first visits by channel. This will help you understand how each channel performs when it comes to acquiring first-time visitors.
