Updates of the future: push notifications
Out with the old and in with the new, as the saying goes. Currently, your employees receive push notifications on the Connect App about any new bookings and changes to their calendar (if enabled on settings). As the salon owner, you can now also receive these push notifications, meaning that everyone involved is up to date and in sync.
We will stop spamming you with SMS if you have these push notifications enabled, and as always, you can see all your latest updates and history via the announcement bar in Connect.

Product restocking improvements on iOS
It’s now even easier and quicker for you to reorder new products and process orders directly from the dropdown list on the App, saving you time and effort as you’ll have direct access to all your products, orders and shipment information.
A clearer overview with reorganised tab items on iOS
We’re improving app navigation by making the overview for Connect’s core features much easier to view and access on the app (iOS only). The layout for our invoices is a bit clearer, as now a red bubble will appear next to the invoice icon when there’s an outstanding payment that needs your attention.
Adding Imprint to our partner sites
We’ve now included the option to add an Imprint (‘Impressum’ in German) page to our partner sites. This is essentially a statement of ownership and authorship to protect user data - which is especially useful for our DACH speaking countries, but it is available for all of our partners, so feel free to add as you see fit.
We’re always working on making it easier for customers to find your services by improving their user journey. It’s easy for your customers to zero in on your salon for the first time, thanks to our browse page aesthetics and streamlined search filters. But the marketplace isn’t just a means of discovery - it’s also our goal to provide the perfect customer experience so that customers book you over and over. Below you can see some of the major improvements we’ve been working on:
Encouraging customers to rebook on the Treatwell App
We’ve made it really easy for customers to book their favorite stylists again by offering them simple but effective rebooking options. When opening the Treatwell App, we don’t only show customers the salons they’ve marked as their favorites, but also the ones they have recently visited and offer them a simple button to book again.
Customers can manage their bookings with you
Our newly integrated 'Manage my Booking' feature gives customers the opportunity to effectively manage their bookings online with you. It allows them to see details of their appointment, your salon info, where to find you, how to contact you, and even includes an option to reschedule their appointments if absolutely necessary. This is a win-win, as when customers reschedule with you online, this immediately frees up a spot on your calendar, and other customers can book with you, so you never miss out.
The add-to-calendar option that reduces no-shows
The booking experience plays a big part when it comes to reducing no-shows. Most people run a hectic life and sometimes appointments fall at the wayside when customers have had a busy day. To counteract the number of forgotten appointments, we developed a feature which allows customers to add their upcoming appointments with you to their own calendar on their phones and desktops. The result? More successful appointments and less no-shows.
Telling your customers about appointments just got better
As a way to optimise our communications, we’ve made it so customers who have the TW App will receive push notifications instead of spamming them with SMS. Note that all your other customers will continue receiving these, but we no longer send SMS reminders for appointments booked less than 24 hours before they’re due to take place.
Reminder: we don’t like to bother your customers out of hours, so we’ll never send these in the middle of the night - only at reasonable times!
Gentle reminders that mean no more forgotten appointments
Another way to effectively reduce no-shows is by sending your customers notification reminders on the TW App before an appointment is due to take place, as a gentle but often welcome reminder. We also send customers push notifications on the app, prompting them to rebook with you when it’s time.
