We know how great you are and we want to celebrate it. So, we’re running our Top Rated campaign again for 2018! The great thing about it is that you’re in control - you’ve got until September to become Top Rated.
Need help getting started? Look no further.
How to become a Top Rated Partner
Top. Rated. Two words, one goal - but what does it mean?
It’s simple, to get the title of ‘Top Rated 2018’ you’ll need:
- 90 + reviews;
- A rating of 4.6 on the marketplace;
- 98% successful booking rate.
What you get as a Top Rated Partner
There are loads of benefits to becoming Top Rated. If you’re successful this year, you’ll get:
- A Top Rated badge on your Treatwell page to help you stand out;
- A dedicated awards section on your Treatwell page showing you’re a winner;
- A Top Rated 2018 filter that helps customers to find you easily;
- A mention on the Treatwell Homepage (via Top Rated) to promote you.
This way, everyone will know you’re total gem (even though we do already). To hear from some of our current Top Rated Partners and for even more info, head to our Top Rated landing page here.
How long do I have to reach Top Rated?
Salons have until the 14th of September 2018 to meet the Top Rated criteria and we will be sending regular monthly updates so that you can keep track of your progress each month.
Why is the criteria different to last year?
We want to ensure that we’re rewarding our Top Partners accordingly, so we have amended the criteria slightly this year to reflect the ever improving standards from all salons. This way, our Top Rated salons really stand out to customers.
I was Top Rated last year but now I'm not – why is this?
We’re lucky to have hundreds of outstanding venues on Treatwell, with over 1.2 million reviews on our site. As a result of all the reviews and feedback given by customers, we decided to amend the criteria to reflect the hard work of all of our outstanding Top Rated salons and make it a slightly more competitive figure to reach. Don't worry though – you still have plenty of time to get that badge back!
I already meet the criteria for Top Rated - what else do I get?
That’s great to hear– we know we have lots of fantastic Top Rated salons on Treatwell already, so we’re busy planning something for later in the year to reward you and other extra special salons for all of your hard work.
We’ll share further updates on this later in the year but in the mean time, keep up the great work!
What is a review rating?
Your review rating is an average of the reviews you have received on Treatwell, so simply put, the more high reviews you get, the higher your rating.
We have worked hard to make these as fair as possible, here’s how:
The older the review, the less weighting it has in calculating your rating. This means that your review is calculated as a fair representation of the experiences customers are having in your salon right now.
If the same client leaves more than one review for you then each one is weighted less. We care about what loyal customers think, but we also want to understand what a wider range of customers feel about your salon.
We calculate your review rating daily, so you can keep checking how your salon is getting on and find out how your customers feel about it.
If you need some extra help with this, visit this article on the Help Centre or head to our Treatwell Academy here to find out more.
How can I improve my review rating?
Make sure you're encouraging your customers to leave a review after they've visited – reviews are a big part of becoming Top Rated, but they're also the best way to let customers know just how great you are before they visit.
If you want to find out more about this, click here to be redirected to our Help Centre article.
Do reviews expire?
While reviews don’t expire, they do become less weighted over time. Try to encourage customers to leave reviews on your Treatwell page as the newer reviews are the ones that'll help to make you stand out (as these are more heavily weighted).
You can keep track of all your reviews (and your review rating) by heading to the Dashboard on Connect.
Do direct reviews count?
Yes, all reviews count towards your total on your Treatwell page.
How can I improve the number of successful bookings I have?
Take some time to make sure that your calendar is up to date – especially during busy periods like the summer holidays. Use the Connect app to keep on top of all your booked appointments on the go and try not to cancel unless it is really urgent.

What happened to The People’s Choice award/ Most Popular from last year?
This year we’ve shaken things up a bit, but don’t worry: we’re busy planning something behind the scenes. Keep your eyes peeled – we’ll be able to give you more information on this later in the year.
