Keeping your calendar up to date is a must if you want things to run smoothly at your salon. When your calendar is up to date, your clients can only book you when you have availability and not during times that you have an existing booking or aren't available.
Adding in your direct or walk-in clients as well as setting up your team rota is the best way to update your availability. For other times that you're busy (like your lunch break or a team meeting), you'll need to add a block to your calendar.
To add a block:
- Head to your calendar and click on the date and time you wish to block.
- A pop up will appear. At the top, select whether you want to add a new appointment or simply block out the time.
- If you’re adding an appointment, make sure to include the customer’s details, the treatment booked as well as the duration and price. Then click “save”.
- If you’re adding a block, make sure to include how long it will last, which team members it will apply to and whether you want it to repeat at all. Then click “save”.
