Lead time is something easily missed, but it’s vital when it comes to managing your bookings. Lead time is the amount of time set before a customer can make their earliest appointment, regardless of whether you’re available or not.
For example, if your lead time is set to 2 hours and a customer chooses to make a booking at 2pm, the earliest time slot they would be shown is 4pm.
Alternatively, if there’s no lead time, a customer can make a booking for your next earliest available time slot. By having no lead time, you’re letting customers know that your calendar is up to date and accurate. We know hair and beauty booking can be a spontaneous thing, with customers wanting to book right there and then, instead of in two weeks time. So by offering no lead time, you’re giving customers the opportunity to book exactly what they want, when they want it.
You can amend your venue lead time by going to the ‘Online booking’ tab in ‘Settings’. You can also set individual lead times for each service by clicking into them and going to ‘Distribution’.
