- Go to 'Menu' in Connect.
- Select 'Add a group' towards the bottom of the page. A pop up screen will appear, where you can enter a group name. It's important to choose groups names which are clearly illustrating the services that you will later create and assign to the group. When you press 'Save' the new group will appear in your main menu screen. Our most common menu groups include Haircuts and Hairdressing, Hair Colouring and Highlights, Hair Removal, Nails, Gel Nails, Body, Face, Massage.
Once you have created your menu groups, you can start to create services that fall under them.
- Click on '+ Add new service' of the group for which you want to create/add a service. A pop up screen will appear.
Select which option you would like to create. You can choose from a single 'Service' or a combination of Services called 'Package'. In case you're offering Spa treatments you can select 'Spa Day'.
Services and Pricing
Service title: This is the title you want your service to have on Treatwell and ultimately what customer will find when they land on your pricelist. For the example above, this is Deluxe Facial.
Treatment type: Once you've defined a service title, you also need to pick treatment type to which your service needs to be linked to. The treatment type is not directly visible on your pricelist but defines how customers will find your services. So for example Deluxe Facial will need to be liked to the treatment type Facial. It's important to choose the correct treatment type to optimise visibility of your services.
Pricing type: This selects how the service will be priced. Simple pricing should be selected when there is only one price for the service. Multiple options pricing and staff pricing should be selected when there is more than one choice of price or staff member for the service, as demonstrated in the below screenshots.
Duration: This is how long the service takes.
Price: This is the RRP.
Sale: This is the sale price, if one applies.
Clean up time: This can be used to add in extra time post-treatment for clean up of the treatment room, if required.
Team: Here you can manage which team members are able to be booked to carry out the treatment, as some team members may not perform a particular treatment. If you want a staff pricing level to be purchasable, for each pricing level you will need to make sure that at least one employee with that pricing level assigned to them is selected.
Here you can add images to your service. Generally only featured services and packages have images added.
You can select an image from already uploaded venue images or you can choose to upload an image from your own files.
This is where you can add a description to the treatment. Please provide as much specific information about the service as possible. You can mention what is included in the price, and what is not included.
Restrictions: You can leave this section blank unless there are restrictions that are relevant to this service only.
Good to Know: You can leave this section blank unless there are restrictions that are relevant to this service only.
Feature service: For every menu you add, you will feature five services. If you’re not sure which ones to feature, select five varied treatments.
Listed online: Here you can choose the period of time the treatment is viewable for. The treatment defaults to being always viewable, but you can choose to make the service viewable after, until, or between specific dates.
Offer available: Here you can choose to make the treatment purchasable on specific days only.
Sold as: Here you can choose to change how the treatment is sold, as either an eVoucher, appointments, or both. Appointment booking works by allowing customers to book a specific date and time through Treatwell using a booking calendar. eVouchers are purchased without a specific date, and customers then contact you directly to arrange the time and date of their treatment
eVouchers expire: Here you can control how long eVouchers are valid for after purchase, if your required period differs from the default.
Appointment lead time: Here you can control how far in advance the treatment can be booked, if your required period differs from the default.
Sold on: Here you can control where the treatment is sold. It can be sold on either Treatwell, the widget or both. You can also choose to select neither option, which allows a service to be created in order to be part of a package without being purchasable itself. Choosing to make a service unpurchasable also allows you to book your direct clients into the Connect calendar for services you don’t want to sell through Treatwell.
Multi-treatment: Selecting this allows for multiple SKUs of a treatment to be selected at once. This is particularly useful for services such as waxing, for example, so that customers can select multiple areas to be waxed in one appointment.
Once all these choices have been edited as desired, select ‘Create’.
