Lead Time is the amount of time that is set by you to control how close to an appointment a customer can book. For example:
Salon Shine has a Lead Time of 2 hours. If a customer wants to book at Salon Shine for 3.00pm, the latest they can place the order is 1.00pm.
Having a low lead time is important as many Treatwell customers are looking for same day and even last minute appointments. If you're managing the Calendar in real time, ideally using as your main software, you can set Zero Lead Time meaning your very next appointment will always be shown on Treatwell. If you prefer a little buffer to live availability, we recommend setting this at 2 hours. Always remember that the higher the lead time you set, the less exposure and bookings you'll receive.
